LOUKIA MITSAKOU 

My name is Loukia Mitsakou.

I was born in 1983 in Athens, Greece and started thinking about what will I be when I grow up. I’m still thinking the same thing. I still live in Athens.

 

I am a photographer, writer and blogger.

I own the site loukini.gr.

I studied Photography, Linguistics, Translation and Theater. Over the last several years, I work as a freelance photographer, a freelance journalist, a radio producer and a translator.

 

Photography is my passion. Through photographs, I tell stories. I do not photograph what I see. I photograph what I feel. After all, we do not see things as they are. We see them as we are.

But I have to tell you something else: I do not make photographs with my camera only. I make photographs carrying inside me every photo I’ve ever seen, every place I’ve ever visited, every book I’ve ever read, everything I’ve ever lost and every person I’ve ever loved.
